Loose Skin That Diet and Exercise Will Not Fix
Loose skin and stubborn contours rarely respond to creams, cardio, or willpower, because the problem does not live on the surface.
After pregnancy, after significant weight loss, or simply with age, the collagen and elastin that held your skin firm break down. Losing more weight will not bring them back. Neither will another round of squats. The tissue underneath has changed, and that is where treatment has to reach.
Morpheus8 Body reaches it.
What Is Morpheus8 Body?
Morpheus8 Body is a fractional radiofrequency microneedling treatment built for larger areas. Ultra-fine pins enter the skin and release controlled heat into the tissue beneath, and that combination is what separates it from microneedling on its own. The needles create the channels. The radiofrequency does the real work, heating the subdermal layer until collagen contracts and new collagen production begins.
On the body specifically, the depth is what matters. Morpheus8 Body can be adjusted up to 8mm, deep enough to remodel both the skin and the fatty tissue underneath it. That dual effect is why it can firm loose skin and improve contour in the same treatment, and it is what surface treatments cannot do.
Results build slowly and keep going. You will notice early firming within a few weeks, and collagen remodeling continues for three to six months after each session.
What Morpheus8 Body Treats
- Loose or sagging skin
- Crepey skin
- Mild to moderate skin laxity
- Cellulite
- Stretch marks
- Surgical scars
- Uneven skin texture
- Stubborn fat pockets
- Loose skin following weight loss
- Skin changes following pregnancy
Because Morpheus8 remodels both the skin and the tissue beneath it, one treatment plan often addresses several of these at once. Loose skin on the abdomen firms and lifts. Crepey skin on the arms and knees tightens. Cellulite on the thighs and buttocks softens as the fibrous tissue underneath is remodeled. Stretch marks fade as new collagen fills in the texture.
Areas we commonly treat
Abdomen, flanks, arms, inner and outer thighs, buttocks, knees and above the knees, bra line, and back.
Morpheus8 Body Treatment Options
A standard Morpheus8 Body session delivers real tightening on its own. For deeper laxity or larger areas, your provider can change the applicator and the depth.
Standard Morpheus8 Body
The standard body protocol treats areas like the abdomen, flanks, arms, knees, and thighs, with depth and energy calibrated to your skin and the specific zone. The area is cleansed and numbed, then treated in passes that take roughly 15 to 20 minutes per zone. Several zones are often handled in one visit.
Morpheus8 Burst
The Burst applicator is built for larger, looser areas: the lower abdomen after multiple pregnancies, the inner thighs, the back. Anywhere skin laxity comes paired with a thicker fat layer. A wider pin array and the deepest reach available let it cover broad areas efficiently and remodel tissue that shallower settings cannot touch.
Morpheus8 Body vs. QuantumRF
Both treat loose skin on the body, and both use radiofrequency, so it is a fair question which one you need.
Morpheus8 Body works from the surface down, through microneedles, to a maximum of about 8mm. It is the better choice when your concern includes skin quality alongside firmness: cellulite, stretch marks, texture, crepey skin. Typically a series of three to four sessions with very little downtime.
QuantumRF works from underneath, through a small cannula placed beneath the skin, and reaches considerably deeper. It is the better choice when loose skin is the dominant concern and you want the strongest non-surgical tightening available. Usually one treatment, with several days of recovery.
Some patients are good candidates for both, in which case your provider will sequence them.

What to Expect During Your Morpheus8 Body Treatment
Length
A body session runs from 30 minutes to over an hour depending on how many zones are treated.
Comfort
A topical numbing cream is applied first. Most patients describe the sensation as warmth with intermittent pressure. Bonier or thinner-skinned areas feel more intense than fleshier zones, and the deeper body settings are felt more than shallow facial ones.
Immediately after
Expect redness, mild swelling, and a sandpaper-like texture across the treated skin for a few days. Some patients notice a faint grid pattern that fades quickly, and tiny pinpoint scabs may form and shed naturally over about a week.
Recovery
Most patients return to work and normal routines the same day or the next. Avoid strenuous exercise, sweating, hot baths, saunas, and direct sun for 24 to 72 hours so the treated skin can settle. Your provider will give you aftercare instructions specific to the area treated.
Results
Early firming shows up within two to four weeks. The most meaningful change develops over three to six months as collagen continues to rebuild, and many patients are surprised how much keeps improving after their last appointment.
How Many Morpheus8 Body Treatments Will I Need?
Most patients are treated in a series of three to four sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart. Your provider may adjust that based on the area and how much laxity you are starting with.
Patients treating more significant laxity, cellulite, or stretch marks may benefit from additional sessions. Because collagen production keeps declining with age, some patients return for maintenance once results have settled.
Am I a Candidate for Morpheus8 Body?
Morpheus8 Body works well for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who want firmer skin and better contour without surgery. One of its real advantages is that it is safe across all skin tones, including deeper skin that carries more risk with laser-based devices.
You may be a good candidate if you:
- Have loose or crepey skin on the abdomen, arms, thighs, or elsewhere
- Want to improve cellulite or stretch marks
- Have loose skin following pregnancy or weight loss
- Want smoother texture along with firmer skin
- Are looking for improvement without surgery or long recovery
- Are close to a stable weight
When Morpheus8 Body is not the right choice
Morpheus8 Body is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for patients with a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, or over an active infection or open wound in the treatment area.
If your laxity is advanced, a surgical procedure may give you a better outcome, and if loose skin is your only concern, QuantumRF may be the stronger option. If your primary concern is fat rather than skin, your provider may point you toward truSculpt instead. Your provider will tell you honestly which of these fits.
How Much Does Morpheus8 Body Cost?
Cost depends on which areas are treated, how large they are, and how many sessions your plan includes. Body treatments cover more surface area than facial treatments, so pricing reflects that. Most patients are treated in a series, and package pricing is usually available. Your provider will review exact pricing at your consultation.
Payment and financing
We accept cash, credit cards, PatientFi, Cherry, and CareCredit.
PatientFi is our preferred financing partner and the application takes just a few minutes.
HSA and FSA funds may be applied to medically eligible services depending on your individual plan. Coverage varies, so please confirm eligibility with your plan administrator before your appointment.
Why Choose Absolute for Morpheus8 Body in Georgia
Morpheus8 results depend on depth calibration, energy settings, and the clinical judgment to read how a particular patient’s skin and tissue will respond. That judgment matters more on the body than the face, because the areas are larger, the tissue varies more, and the settings have more room to go wrong.
Every Morpheus8 Body treatment here is performed by a licensed medical provider who understands subdermal remodeling and builds each session around your anatomy rather than running a fixed protocol.
Lisa Mobley Mullis, FNP-C, founded the practice in 2009. Alongside Kalie M. Bush, FNP-C, and Elizabeth Crumpler, FNP-C, our providers bring years of advanced training in energy based technique to every appointment.

What Our Patients Say
Frequently Asked Questions About Morpheus8
How is Morpheus8 different from regular microneedling?
Standard microneedling relies on the needles alone to create micro-injuries that prompt collagen production near the surface. Morpheus8 adds radiofrequency energy to those needles, heating the tissue deep beneath the skin where laxity and fat actually sit.
Does Morpheus8 Body actually tighten loose skin, or just improve texture?
It does both, and the tightening is why most patients choose it for the body. The radiofrequency heats the deeper tissue enough to cause immediate collagen contraction, followed by months of new collagen production that keeps firming the area. For loose skin from pregnancy, weight loss, or aging, that structural remodeling is what a surface treatment cannot deliver. How much improvement you see depends on how much laxity you start with, which your provider will assess at your consultation.
Does Morpheus8 Body help with cellulite?
Yes. Cellulite is caused partly by fibrous bands beneath the skin pulling downward while fat pushes upward. Because Morpheus8 remodels tissue at that depth, it can soften the dimpled appearance rather than just tightening the skin over it. Results vary by person and by how pronounced the cellulite is.
Does Morpheus8 Body reduce fat?
It can help with small pockets of fat by remodeling adipose tissue at deeper settings, but it is a skin tightening treatment first. If fat reduction is your main goal, truSculpt is likely a better fit, and your provider may recommend combining the two.
Is the treatment painful?
A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand, and most patients describe it as tolerable, more warmth and pressure than sharp pain. Bonier or thinner-skinned areas feel more intense than fleshier ones.
How soon can I return to normal activities and exercise?
Most patients are back to work and daily routines the same day or the next. Hold off on strenuous exercise, sweating, hot baths, saunas, and sun exposure for 24 to 72 hours. Your provider will give you instructions specific to the area treated.
When will I see my before and after difference?
Early changes, smoother and slightly firmer skin, often appear within two to four weeks. Morpheus8 is progressive, though. The collagen remodeling it triggers builds for three to six months after each session, so the most striking comparisons come once your full series is complete and that timeline has played out.
Is Morpheus8 Body safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. Because the energy is radiofrequency delivered through needles rather than light absorbed by pigment, Morpheus8 carries less risk of pigmentation changes than laser-based devices. It is safe across all skin types.
How much does Morpheus8 Body cost?
Cost varies by area, size, and number of sessions. Package pricing is often available. Your provider will review exact pricing at your consultation.
